No Magic Buttons

no magic buttons

There are no magic buttons in life.

We all would like to hope there was but there’s not really.

I think about all the buttons that control our lives.  There is no one button that magically does something for us that we could rely on.

The one-button I could think of that would come close to being magical in my opinion is the “snooze button” for when we push it, it gives us “ten more glorious minutes” of sleep.

Of course, we have all kinds of buttons in our lives that make life a little easier but none of them are “magic.”

I thought of a few buttons that make life a little easier like the elevator button, that takes us up and down, we don’t have to take the stairs unless we want to.  There is a button on the newer model vehicles that starts the engine.  That could be considered magical but it’s not.  In fact, I have one on my new care but the vehicle is not going anywhere without the key.  There’s a button on a bus that lets down the ramp so someone who is in a wheelchair can board the bus, but again there must be a key.

The point I’m trying to make here and the reason I named my website “no magic buttons” is that no one thing can do everything for us.

There are things that help make life better but there are no magic buttons to help us get through life.  Life is hard.

We all must put on our big boy or big girl pants and trudge on through it.  We experience problems or difficulties in life, but there is nothing to help us but our own ingenuity to work out the problem.

We experience hardships, but there is nothing to help us but our own perseverance to get through it.

Some of us may experience depression or anxiety, but there is nothing to help us get through it but our own self-will and determination.

When we want to lose weight and get in shape it is our own motivation and determination that get us through it.

So, don’t sit around and wait on the magic buttons to appear to help you get through life, there are no magic buttons.

Only our own human ingenuity, perseverance, determination, motivation, and dreams get us to the place we want to be.

I hope you enjoy “no magic buttons” and come back to visit often.
